Are you thinking about getting dental implants? You are not alone. Every year, many people choose to get surgical dental implants to replace teeth that have been subject to decay or have been knocked out through injury. The benefits of having that tooth, or teeth, to fill a gap in your smile can be enormous-especially to your self confidence.

You may be asking yourself- what about the cost of dental implants? Below, we give you an overview of just how much dental implants in Los Angeles cost, and also, what can affect the bottom line. Our goal is to make your decision-making process as painless as possible.

Dental implants are basically synthetic tooth implants that are surgically implanted into the root of your previous tooth root to look and function like a real tooth. Dental implants in this era have replaced the need for impractical and inconvenient dentures that so many people have been forced to use, prior to the availability of dental implants.

Dental implants can be introduced into your smile as one tooth or a full mouth of teeth, but are only administered after the jaw bone is fully grown- dental implants are designed for those with permanent adult teeth. Moreover, depending on your pre-existing conditions and other relevant health factors, you may be unable to get dental implants- consult a trusted physician before getting the procedure done.

So, what do dental implants cost? The average cost for dental implants range between $1,000 to $5,000 per tooth- and in many cases, insurance will cover at least part of this amount. Below, are some factors that can help you better pinpoint where your total dental implants costs will wind up in this range:

1. How Many Teeth Need To Be Implanted: Of course, this is one of the most important factors that will determine the cost- just how many dental implants do you need. Do you need only a couple, or a full mouth? This can affect the procedural cost immensely. Getting a full mouth of dental implants may take several visits.

2. Dentist: Depending on who you choose to administer your dental implants in Los Angeles will also affect the costs as every dentist charges on a different scale.

3. Implantation Type: There are actually different kinds of implantation involved with dental implants, and this can affect your overall costs. A brief consultation with your dental implant specialist will determine which implantation is best for your situation.

4. Material Used: Moreover, different quality materials are used for dental implants and depending on the grade of the material, this will also affect cost. The higher the quality of the materials, typically the higher the cost.

5. Insurance: Of course, it is always a good idea to check with your insurance carrier to see if they will cover some or all of your dental implants- in some cases, they will certainly help with the cost of dental implants.

6. Many dental implant dentists may also have their own financing program. Call them and ask about the kinds of programs they may have available.

July 21, 2010 – Homeowners face many challenges when remodeling a kitchen, bathroom, or outdoor living area. One of the toughest challenges often seems to be the design aspect of the project. A homeowner must be educated on which material is correct for a specific surface, what color mosaic will match a certain tile, and what types of liners or moldings need to be purchased to complete a room.

Brandi Smith, the Showroom Design Manager of the Surfaces USA Corporate Showroom explains, “A homeowner has so many things to worry about during the home remodeling process and the Design Ideas Gallery will take one huge stress off their shoulders. Homeowners can simply choose the installation photo of the room they want, then click on the “Buy This Room” button where all the natural stone and tile needed to duplicate that exact room is specified and is available immediately for purchase. The homeowner gets a professionally-designed room and saves thousands of dollars on the project.”

Smith continues, “All of the images in the Design Idea Gallery were created by experienced Surfaces USA Interior Designers, a $5,000 – $7,000 value which is what makes this online feature so fantastic. You can browse design photos by room, or by professionally-rendered concept boards. The gallery includes a delightful variety of themed rooms, from modern and contemporary powder rooms, to antique or European kitchens. But what you see in the Design Gallery is not only what you’ll get- Surfaces USA offers a variety of natural stone materials on their website and can customize or incorporate your favorite stone into any of the designs as well.”

Safe, Natural Products Are Very Effective And Actually Speed Up The Tattoo Healing Process.

The best advice I can offer on how to properly care for a new tattoo is NOT TO USE LOTION ON A FRESH TATTOO! Most tattoo artists advise their clients to use a rich ointment for the first few days of healing, followed by unscented, colorless lotions to keep the skin moisturized, protected, and prevent color fading. These lotions are relatively cheap and available at your local drugstore. However, almost all of these lotions contain ingredients that are recently proven to be more harmful than beneficial for tattoo health. Here are 5 tips for tattoo aftercare:

1. Gently Cleanse, Stay out of the sun, and away from heat- During the healing and aftercare process, which may take several weeks, gently cleanse the tattoo daily with fragrance-free, anti-bacterial body soap and luke warm water. For the first few days, no sun, swimming, sweating, or dirt. Keep your tattoo dry and clean. For the first 24 hours, try to ice the tattoo as often as you can, this will help reduce inflammation and also help with the pain.

2. Only oil or oil-based ointment for first 3 days- It is advised by some not to use lotion at all for the first few days because of the high risk of infection. However, there are safe, natural products that are very effective and actually speed up the healing process. For immediate tattoo aftercare, look for a light, oil-based product containing hemp seed oil, tea tree oil, aloe vera, and jojoba oil.

Tea tree oil has anti-inflammatory anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties. It is a very effective remedy against countless skin ailments, infections, cuts, scrapes, burns, insect bites and skin spots etc. Using tea tree oil combined with hemp seed oil will provide rich omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. Using these oils will lightly moisturize, protect, and heal the skin without causing irritation or color loss.

3. Avoid plasma crusting on tattoo- For the first day, your tattoo will seep a clear liquid called plasma. Try not to let this crust on your skin, but if it does, gently wash it off with warm water.

4. After first 3 days, keep skin moisturized with all natural lotion- Keeping the skin hydrated during the peeling process and long after will help with itchiness, flakiness, and preserving the richness of your tattoo color. Like I said before, beware of lotions that contain harmful ingredients such as lanolin or petroleum. Instead use a lotion that is rich in fatty acids for free radical protection and non-greasy hydration. Hemp seed lotions are the best for this.

Hemp seed oil is rich in omega 3, 6, and 9 and it is easily absorbed into the skin. Hemp contains anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties that are healthy and non-irritating to the skin. Continue to use a hemp seed oil lotion long after your tattoo is healed and enjoy longer, truer tattoo color and skin health.

5. Watch the ingredients- Lanolin is an ingredient some will use, and lanolin causes allergic reactions in a lot of people. Lanolin is the natural oil that comes from sheep’s wool. Some tattoo aftercare also contain products such as bee’s wax or petroleum, which can clog pores and contain contaminants. These ingredients are widely popular in over-the-counter creams and lotions because they are cheap and easy to manufacture. The lanolin and mineral oil found in these lotions cause excessive seeping, clogging, scabbing, scarring and color loss. Stay away from products that contain mineral oil, dyes, propylene glycol, or parabens.

Earthly Body’s Tattoo Tonic preserves tattoo color, is non-fading, vegan, and free of petroleum, lanolin, and paraben. Works wonders on healing piercings as well.

Each and every woman has her own bikini area “style.” Regardless of whether you prefer the bare Brazilian look, the “landing strip,” or just cleaning up the edges – we all suffer from annoying and uncomfortable razor burn, bumps, and ingrown hairs once in a while. There are certain shaving techniques, pre, and post shave products that will help, if not eliminate that painful, itchy “plucked chicken” look. Here are some tips for healthy and safe shaving “down there.”

1. Exfoliate – Gently scrub the bikini area before shaving to remove dead skin that leads to pore-clogging, post-shave irritation. You can use a scrubby cloth, or a regular body or facial scrub. Exfoliating this area on a regular basis will help prevent future irritation, ingrown hairs, and skin sensitivity.

2. Wait Until The End Of Your Shower, And Use A Natural, Oil-Based Shave Cream – For the sensitive skin in your bikini area, there is a basic shaving technique that experts agree works for everyone. Most experts suggest waiting until the end of a shower to shave. After your skin has been soaking, hair and skin become softer, allowing for a close, gentle shave. Apply an emollient-rich, cream-based shave cream containing argan and hemp seed oils to add moisture and protection during your shave.

3. Shave With Hair Growth First, Then Against The Grain – Pubic hair is coarse, and the skin in that area is the most prone to irritation. Start by shaving in the same direction as the hair growth. Then, if you want a smoother, completely hairless look, shave against the grain, and rinse. This technique can be used on all body hair, but generally finer hair on the legs and arms can be shaved against the grain from the start. It is best to use a fresh razor every time your shave our bikini area.

4. Gently Pat Dry – After you are done shaving, pat the skin dry – don’t rub. Rubbing with a towel irritates the skin, and should not be done regardless of whether the skin is freshly shaved or not. You should also try to keep out of the heat to avoid sweating for 24 hours after shaving to prevent itchiness and ingrown hairs.

5. Apply an All Natural After Shave Treatment – Apply an after shave treatment containing all natural ingredients. Tea tree oil-based products are particularly effective for a freshly shaved or waxed bikini area. Tea tree oil has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties. It is a very effective natural remedy against countless skin ailments, infections, cuts, scrapes, burns, insect bites and skin spots etc.

Using Tea tree oil will help heal and renew the skin, which allows you to shave more often and maintain a close shave with minimal irritation. Look for a product that combines tea tree oil with more emollient, vitamin E and Omega 3, 6, 9 rich oils such as hemp seed oil, avocado, rose hips, soybean, jojoba and apricot oil to moisturize and protect freshly shaved skin. These types of after shave oils are great for after waxing as well.

6. Stay Away From Products That Contain Harmful, Irritating Ingredients – Freshly shaved skin that is as sensitive as the bikini area easily absorbs any products you may apply, therefore it is important to avoid harmful or irritating chemicals. Be sure to avoid pre and post shave products that contain mineral oil, dyes, sulfates propylene glycol, acetylsalicylate (which is potentially toxic and present in many shave products), phthalates or parabens.
